We recognise that many patients find visiting the dentist stressful.
Pain relief is very important in reducing anxiety, helping relaxation and consequently achieving dental health. Modern local anaesthetics are very effective in eliminating all pain from the teeth and gums during dental treatment. Patients who require extra help can have additional sedation to help them become even more comfortable.
What can we offer you?
- Topical or surface anaesthetic which is placed on the gums prior to all local anaesthetics.
- Local anaesthetic which is administered in a gentle, caring manner.
- Inhalational or Relative Analgesia sedation which can be used instead of, or in addition to local anaesthetic. This can produce a dream like relaxed state with considerably reduced sensitivity to discomfort.
- Intravenous sedation which will reduce your concern and awareness regarding your dental treatment. It is given before the administration of local anaesthetic. Intravenous patients must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will care for them for 8 hours after the treatment is completed.
