At Chiltern Avenue Dental Practice, our priority is to create a safe environment for our patients, staff and visitors. As the practice is a healthcare setting, the below measures will remain in place beyond July 19th 2021. By following these steps, together we can help to keep one another safe, as well as ensuring that the practice is able to remain open and continue the provision of essential dental care.

  • Patient screening (via questionnaire) and triage at time of booking.
  • Patients are sent a medical history form to complete online prior to appointment (this helps with screening, avoids touching of clipboards and reduces waiting time at practice).
  • Email and text reminders sent to patients with bookings to ensure COVID-safe measures are followed.
  • Appointment-only policy (so no walk-in patients which may affect our distancing and COVID-safe measures).

  • Please ring the doorbell to enter.
  • Patients must wear a mask to their appointment. Masks will be provided on arrival for patients who do not have one with them. Patients cannot enter without a mask.
  • Shoe covers provided.
  • Hand sanitising stations throughout the practice. All patients and visitors must use.
  • Patients will have their temperature taken on arrival.
  • Protective screen at reception to protect patients and staff.
  • Staff wearing appropriate PPE.
  • State-of-the-art air purifiers in reception.
  • Frequent decontamination/cleaning of reception & waiting room.
  • Box provided to store personal belongings in, decreasing the risk of cross-infection.

  • Staff wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Enhanced decontamination procedures. Following COVID-safe Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Full- room decontamination after each patient has been seen.

Other Points to Note

  • Social distancing measures throughout the practice.
  • All staff take a lateral flow test twice per week.
  • Chaperones – We kindly ask that chaperones attend with patients only if absolutely necessary. We understand that certain patients such as children, those with physical and/or learning difficulties and patients with language difficulties will still require chaperones. Patient Testimonials

I had a tooth infection and this practice gave me an immediate appointment. The dentist was very knowledgeable and talked me through the process of correcting the underlying issue. The receptionist was also very professional and understanding.

Very impressed with the service.
